Who is responsible

xheart.tv is XHEART's magazine. UNTHAI built it and runs it. Where this page says "we", it means me and my team. The operator details, when published, are at the end of this page. For any privacy request, use the contact form.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

Google Analytics 4 stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner. Before you choose, and if you pick "Essential only", the Google script is not loaded at all, no Google cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an id) and sends Google the pages you view, how you got here, your approximate location, and your device and browser, so we can see which posts get read. Advertising features stay off. Google processes this data for us. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key xheart-consent).

You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.

The view counter

The site also counts article views itself, for the "Most read" list. It stores which post was viewed, the day (UTC) and a total. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address or browser details. To count a post once per visit, your browser keeps a small flag in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Known bots are not counted.

Searches are not logged or stored. Results are kept in memory for two minutes so repeat searches are fast.

Rate limits

To stop abuse of search, the view counter and the forms, the server keeps your IP address in memory for a few minutes. It is never written to the database.

Contact and signup forms

When you send the contact form, we store your name, email address, message and which form you used. Only my team and I can read it. We keep it as long as we need it to reply and follow up, and we delete it when you ask.

The Physical AI Briefing

When you sign up, your email address goes to Listmonk, newsletter software we run ourselves at newsletter.xheart.tv. Emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service. You get a confirmation email first, and nothing else is sent until you confirm. Every issue has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address, we remove it from the list.

YouTube videos

Video pages show a still image first. That image loads from Google's image server (i.ytimg.com), which sees your IP address but sets no cookie. The YouTube player only loads when you click play, and it uses youtube-nocookie.com. Once you play a video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Hosting and delivery

All traffic goes through Cloudflare, which protects the site and delivers it faster. Cloudflare processes your IP address to do this. The site and its database run on a server we rent from OVHcloud. Fonts are served from our own server.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or share your details with anyone except the services named on this page.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Use the contact form. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
